TypeIt4Me tops CNET Editors’ picks 26/11/2010 No Comments

We were very pleased to see TypeIt4Me hold the number 1 spot for two days running on Nov 22nd & 23rd in the “Recently updated editors’ picks” section on CNET. We work hard to ensure our product – now well into its third decade of ongoing development – remains the best in its class. Endorsements like this really make our day. Thanks, guys!

Sounds4Fun 1.1.1 released 15/11/2010 2 Comments

Coming 24 hours or so after the 1.1 released on November 14, this .1 update fixes a number of minor bugs reported by users. If you find more or simply have suggestions for further improvements, please leave a comment here or email support@sounds4fun.ettoresoftware.com

Sounds4Fun 1.1 now available 14/11/2010 No Comments

Just when you thought it might never happen, we’re pleased to bring you a brand new version of Sounds4Fun with some added features and a couple of bugfixes.

New features:

  • Three new events have been added: cmd-X, cmd-C and cmd-V. Note that these work by watching you type the commands and they will trigger the associated sound even if no cut, copy or paste occurs. If the new events don’t appear in the list, backup then delete the Sounds4Fun folder in Application Support inside Library and re-install Sounds4Fun.

Bug fixes:

  • Sounds4Fun no longer sends iPhoto into a spinning beach ball when the mouse hovers in between the photos in a large collection
  • Trash sounds now also work on 10.6
  • The alert sound now also works on 10.6, but you might not hear a random sound on every beep as applications seem to cache and keep the first alert they play.

Et oui…le nouveau Mactylo est enfin arrivé ! 27/10/2010 No Comments

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve just put the finishing touches on the French localization of TypeIt4Me – or Mactylo as it’s known on the other side of La Manche – which will be available for download today.

The good news doesn’t end there; our Spanish-speaking friends can look forward to El TypeIt4Me joining it very soon. Stay tuned, amigos.

Mamma mia… TypeIt4Me 5 è disponibile in Italiano! 20/09/2010 No Comments

Yep, we’ve been busy. It gives us great pleasure to announce the launch of a fully localized version of TypeIt4Me for the Italian market. We have struck a new partnership deal with Active Software, who will henceforth be responsible for distributing TypeIt4Me in Italy. It is priced at €33,25 + VAT and even comes packaged in a nice, shiny box. Check out the product page at Active Software for further details.

…The localization juggernaut doesn’t stop here, mind. We intend to make TypeIt4Me available in a range of European flavours and to that end we’re already knuckling down to work on the French version. On y va !

TypeIt4Me 5.0 now available 12/04/2010 1 Comment

It’s been a long time coming, but after months of hard graft and some invaluable assistance from our loyal clan of beta testers, we’re pleased as punch to announce that TypeIt4Me 5.0 is now available for download. This is a major update with a totally rewritten engine that brings full 64-bit Snow Leopard compatibility, speedier text expansion and a redesigned user interface with a fully resizable clippings editing window. TypeIt4Me is no longer presented as a System Preferences item – it now stands on its own two feet as a regular application that can optionally display its icon in the dock as well as its traditional menubar position.

For a complete list of features, see:

http://www.ettoresoftware.com/products/typeit4me/features/

Available as a 30-day-trial, TypeIt4Me 5.0 still costs just $27 (or $14 for students/ teachers). As always, you’ll only pay $9 to upgrade from a previous registered version. Additionally, users who bought the previous version on or after 1 January 2009 will receive a free upgrade code via email in the next few days. Please note that TypeIt4Me 5.0 is only compatible with Macs running OS X 10.5 Leopard and later.

Anyway, that’s enough blathering from us. Check it out now. We hope you’ll like it.
