Quick Start Guide
Welcome to TypeIt4Me!
If you are a user of a previous version of TypeIt4Me AND you still have an old abbreviations file AND it is the selected default file in the old TypeIt4Me Prefs, you will be prompted to convert your existing abbreviations and corresponding clippings to the new format. Note that this will happen ONLY the very first time you launch TypeIt4Me 3.0. On later launches, you can use Open File... to locate and convert any old format files you may have.
NB Again, the above prompt means that TypeIt4Me found your old TypeIt4Me Prefs preferences file in its standard location inside the Preferences folder, which contains the name of the default abbreviations file. If you deleted the old TypeIt4Me Prefs preferences file prior to launching TypeIt4Me 3.0, no worries: you can still use Open File... to locate an old abbreviations file to convert it at any time.
If you click Yes, you will be prompted to save the converted old file under a new name. Unless you type your own new file name and/or choose a different location, the file will be saved in your Home directory and named "My converted TypeIt4Me abbreviations", as shown in this picture:

You will then be greeted by the dialog shown below to remind you that unless you decided to purchase a licence, you will be nagged to do so should you still be using the software without paying for it after the 30-day evaluation period is over.

You are now ready to create your own clippings and corresponding abbreviations.
